The Barbie film encompasses everything we love about women. The balance of feminism, humour and celeb appearances made for an all round cinematic masterpiece. And while Barbie was inspired by dozens of classic films, there just isn’t anything else like it. From all time bops, to pink Pintrest inspiration and just general wholesome girlie vibes, it’s no doubt the film of the summer, and arguably the year. So, loved by both Barbies and Kens alike, it’s clear why Barbie is receiving praise and breaking records everywhere, as Greta Gerwig claims her space as one of Hollywood’s directors to watch.
